Ten years of continuous refinement
This year we are celebrating ten years of achievement in formative assessment with a third generation of Assessment Center™. You may recall Assessment Center’s origin as Homeroom.com, one of the original assessment platforms designed for identifying critical deficits in a student’s academic background. The Meaning of Longitudinal Growth
While Homeroom.com was foundational in formative assessment, our new ipGrowth™, is also foundational – and reflective of national momentum in growth measurement and Race to the Top. Through enhanced features within Assessment Center, ipGrowth delivers adaptive tests to produce a scale score of achievement – using curriculum-aligned items on a calibrated measurement scale. This helps educators interpret student growth with an ipsative model – from the Latin “of the self” – gaining insight on student cognition and performance.
