AC3 - Assessment Data Warehouse

At CORE K12, we have observed a fundamental challenge in nearly all school systems and state-level agencies.  K-12 educators at every level – teachers, coaches, principals, regional/area administrators, district administrators, and state agency officials – rarely have a clear understanding of how students are progressing toward important milestone goals as they move along in real time, month-by-month or week-by-week.

Annual testing or AYP data are simply not sufficient, as they provide only a single snapshot of performance at one given point in time.  Because of their “one-time-only” nature and the lack of readily available, easy-to-use reports, these assessments do not allow teachers to tailor instruction effectively. So not only are the availability and visibility of student performance data limited – making it of little use to educators – but the information that is critical in determining the appropriate course of instruction and intervention for each student is often inadequate.

To address these issues, Assessment Center features a comprehensive data warehouse allowing users to view a multitude of assessment and student performance data.  Formative assessment data, high stakes assessment scores, third party assessment results, and other performance related details can be accessed and viewed in a variety of formats including year-over-year (longitudinally), comparatively, or a progress monitoring view.  These tools and capabilities put vital, highly-detailed student assessment and performance data in the hands of teachers and administrators in a useful framework allowing educators to identify trends in cohorts of students and pinpoint individual needs to inform instruction.
