Bright IDEA Case Study

Using experience and market research, in 2010, CORE K12 enhanced Bright IDEA solution advanced functionality such as tracking students across school districts, providing an online and offline Individualized Education Plan capability, and the capability for service providers to track service provision directly within the State-centralized system. This brings greater transparency to the State and improves the timeliness of data-dependent decisions.

In both Michigan and North Carolina, the Bright IDEA solution is the mandatory method by which the State collects special education data. The solution tracks approximately 256,000 students in Michigan and an additional 200,000 students in North Carolina.

Bright IDEA Solution synthesizes pieces of information from school, district, and state meeting required legislative acts for submitting special education data.
